    Navman S45 GPS

    Happy New Year to all,
I received a Navman S45 gps unit for Christmas and when I went to install it in the County today I discovered that it doesnt have an external aerial and have doubts whether it will get enough gps signal through the windscreen angle and a mesh sunvisor on top. Does anyone have any experience with this model and any comments or suggestions welcome. Brian

I have since installed and tested the gps and it works fine with the suction cup mount onto the windscreen. It amazed me that it would get enough signals with the little access it has to the sky from inside the County but all is well!!!

    Hi Bearman,
    Good to hear.

Just be aware, however, that the signals to all GPS are worse in heavily-wooded areas etc.

    Best Wishes,
    Peter
