    GPS setup

I have just purchased an Asus Eee pc. I have a full copy of natmap and I have a Magellan external GPS receiver head which fits a usb port. Question...How do I set this up to work bearing in mind I have no idea? Do I need extra maps? If so where do I get them? I propose to Install the maps on a minihard drive connected to computer via usb. All help would be appreciated. Jim

You'll need some software that will read the Natmap files and plot your position as you move - a lot of people are using Oziexplorer The Official OziExplorer Web Site - GPS Mapping Software for Magellan, Garmin, Lowrance, Eagle, MLR Receivers It's pretty good and easy to set up.

In oziexplorer you can even follow your progress in 3D.
    Very versatile program.
