Series 3 Holden decent cooling system

Just recently completed a conversion from the old cut the hell out of the chassis and use the standard radiator to using a VR V8 radiator and a VN electric fan, All just fits in nicely behind modified radiator support panel. will post some more pics later if anyone is interested? I am new to site as well, does any one else spend enough money on their old series three that the could easily buy a spanking defender or is just me?

    G'day Series 333,

Nice looking job - which holden engine do you have in your S3. Would love to see more shots.

Agree about the money - it's best to stop counting. (I have all my reciepts in a box - they live with the vehicles, but I dont dare add them up )

Love to see some more shots of your vehicle.

    Oh, and Welcome

    Nice welding Triple 3!

If spending money keeps you happy, then it must be a good thing.

I would like to spend some on my S3 but I need a 200 tdi engine first

    Cheers Charlie

Like the extended front shackle hangers

adding a cad file for the new bull bar and extended shackle hangers, havent drawn rear but done the same.
Red 202 running std everything bar custom lpg, roof mounted air cleaner, 350 holley & custom made extractors (yours truly).
Convinced the wife to move to COOKTOWN so it will see plenty of top end work.
Had a SNAP-ON truck and found it burned out at one of the wreckers I called at. just about to be crushed the poor thing! never even driven it yet (5 years later), i heard they drive really nice!
Have just had it completely rewired by the best auto electrician in the business, dont even guess how much. The new hella predators were one of the cheaper items.
Body work is a bit rough but as a panel beater/mechanic by trade I fail to see how you could ever get one straight!
I've drawn all my mods if any one needs any help just ask.

Interesting stuff S3 - I only wish I understood all those numbers on the spring hanger diagram . Certainly impressive though.

Do you run an overdrive in the S3? - I find my 202 a little undergeared.

yeah a fairey although like I said I never have driven it. the numbers are simply millimetres. I reconstructed the standard hanger 38mm lower (raising the front same as mil spec for the rear) yet to the average mechanic it looks identical, gets around engineering hassles by having a drawing. did this front and rear for extra ground clearance, yet to scallop the crossmeber ANYONE GOT ANY PHOTOS?

    Nice welds dude!

Can I suggest backing away from the radius on your tubes. It weakens them. Only weld the flat surfaces.

Something I learned building truck bodies.

Tack the outer edges and work inwards from there.
