Same AnD3rew, budget on about 2 fills a month at about $90 but this is assuming a hell of a lot about how you are going to use it, cost of fuel etc etc.
This forum is pretty gentle compared to most, however I agree with the sentiment of the other posts. This is something you could easily have worked out or at least put some more thought (detail) into the question before posting.
Either way enjoy the new D4 and hope you have budgetted enough for fuel.

I'm doing up a budget in preparation of my new D4 and trying to factor in a rough idea of a fuel expense, having never owned a truck/SUV and having never driven a diesel engine.
I do not have the vehicle yet, so cannot look at the specs on the sticker on the window. I don't know how many L the tank holds. I asked for a "general idea" and was simply looking for something similar to AnD3rew's response:
"Ok I'll see if I can give you bit of a better answer, but of course it will depend on the way you use the car. I have a D3 2.7TDV6. I tend to fill the car up once a fortnight and the average fill is probably between $70-90 depending on the cost of the fuel and how empty it is."

Please don't take offence. Many people here are car experts and enthusiasts and assume others have the same level of knowledge, or know where to look for information such as the fuel tank capacity which is around 82L, say 75L usuable. Most of the specs can be found on Land Rover AU - Home, including the fuel consumption specs but those are always too optimistic in real-world conditions.
However, when we say fuel consumption is variable it really is, which is why you're not getting straight answers. I could tell you what mine is, but because my car and situation are different to yours that would be incorrect and it's better to give no information than mislead.
What I can say is that for most offroad touring purposes the D3 is somewhat short-legged, ie the distance you can drive it before refilling isn't quite as long as it should be. For around town purposes nobody finds it a problem.

Actually, I stand corrected and disappointed. LR in their wisdom have banged on about all sorts of things on their website but not the specs of the vehicle including the fuel tank size. Fortunately, those can be found here:

I agree that a Landrover should not be called an SUV (why is everything thing that comes from the USA automatically fit for adoption hereBTW I still call bottoms bums (in polite company) not butts which are things that some people choose to suck on)

Being a vehicle designed to carry goods D3/4 fits the definition of a truck albeit with a certain degree of style. And being of the finest English craftmanship they are certainly a cut above the usually lorry. I tend to characterise mine as a "Gentleman's Truck".

Also take into account the first few thousand K's, the vehicle will be a little thirsty as the engine is still tight & will use slightly more fuel (couple of litres per 100/K) & as time goes buy & the engine loosens up the economy will come down.

My 09 TDVSE tends to do about 700kms around town on about 80 litres of diesel - slightly more than 11 litres per 100km.
This is about $96.00 @ $1.21 per litre.
Mind you I am running Mud Terrains so they probably cost me some fuel consumption.
I have done one reasonable country trip & then the fuel consumption came down significantly - to about 8 litres per 100km.
