Hi Mowog, Did you take any notice of your fuel economy?
Last weekend the was the first time I got the D4 and the caravan together.
One issue... The car didn't know the van was attached I do have the box to fix that just been to busy/lazy to fit it.
Hitching and unhitching is so easy... Set access height back under the ball set normal height to engage the hitch and ball. To unhitch I set off road height put the jockey wheel down and dropped to access height and drive away.
This use to be such a pain in the Territory winding the jocky wheel up and down.
When I settled back to normal height the whole rig was level. No fighting with spring bars on a WDH what a pleasure.
The towing... You cant add 2200kg and not notice it... But the D4 did it very well 600nm and it just made it so easy. Where the Territory would be working is ring off the D4 just pulled the van with little effort.

I didn't reset the trip meter. And we didn't go far. Sunshine Coast to Summerset Dam Holiday park.
The average was on 9.6L when we left it climbed to 9.9 over trip. When we leave Summerset on the weekend I will reset the trip meter for the drive back.
Hi Mowog, are these figures with the van on?
Yes that was the van attached.
However I didn't reset the trip meter from our normal on road. while the van was attached the average climbed to 9.9 now that could reflect that amount of time since the last reset. We also had a lot of idling time to keep the aircon going for the dogs. And we didn't really go that far. Sunshine Coast -> Cabulture -> Woodford -> Kilcoy -> Summerset Dam.
On Sunday I will reset the trip meter before I move off. I estimate it will be around 14L/100 when its reset. I will also be doing a fairly steep hill climb to test the rig out and annoy the bike riders who love the hill I will be going over.
I would suggest the test may be coming back down!!

Still sounds good Mowog. I averaged 13.0Lt per 100Klm's over 700 klm's with my 2 ton boat, 3 kids & all our gear (in case you havent already read this on my post). When I left for this trip I only had 1200Klm's on the clock. Hey, don't they do it easy.
