    Her email is meaghan.roulston@pdfa.com.au

She has been fantastic to deal with and I am glad I took the time to go through the forums.

For the record, I have no financial agreement with either of the two people above, or the companies they work for, I'm just passing on some names that were helpful to me.
Meaghan has told me the Allianz rep is so happy with the volume that there is a product coming out later this year specifically for Land Rovers already out of factory warranty.

Norm, I'm glad we're both getting the same commission for our recommendations - ie $0.00, Maybe we should start our own business?

Well if that comes out I would certainly be interested in buying the product.

Early warranty price was too cheap. Current price reflects the real risk. Good to have as a major failure is costly.

    Thanx all

Have now looked into thankyou to all for you advice and info.
I have recieved an email back from Meaghan.

"There are a few different choices when it comes to warranty, for instance 24 & 36months/100,000kms (in total, not extra); and 12 to 36months with an extra kms.

The most popular is 36mnths with 60,000kms. The normal price is $3650, however I do it for $2,393.33.

As you seem to be doing a lot of km's, you can also get 36mnths with 75,000kms for $2,564.29."

Think i will get it just so i can sleep a little easier at night.

Thank you everyone, this is a great forum, i hope i can help someone as you have helped me someday.

    New Allianz Warranty

    G'day All,

The PDS below is for the new warranty that Allianz will soon be offering. It is basically a full manufacturers warranty that you can purchase after the original or extended warranty has expired.

It appears to have a few exclusions but otherwise it looks okay.

Again, could I ask some of you other 'experienced' LR owners to cast an eye over it and let me know what you think?

As said above, I am informed by Meaghan at PDFA that its not available yet, its due out in July, she reckons.

Anyway, I thought other people might like an advance view like I got.

    Cheers,

    Norm

Modern cars are so complex these days that when something does go wrong, especially with turbos and diesels, the cost of repairs would be horrific.

Even though I bought a Toyota, I *still* bought extended factory warranty despite the sales person saying that I am wasting my money.....

If I were in your shoes, I'd do it!

    Aah...

I should point out that I am indeed going to buy the warranty...

Over the cost of the lease, it seems like a very smart, financially insignificant decision...
