Alarm going off for no reason Alarm going off for no reason

My 06 SE has recently developed the habit of setting off the car alarm about 5 min after long trips. It is happening 2-3 times a week usually after the 70km trip to work or back. Has anyone else had this problem?

Mine did that and it was the bonnet catch. If it is only just making contact it can loose contact and set off the alarm.

I screwed in the rubber bonnet stops a couple of turns , which together with a bit-of-a-slam close did solve the problem for me. For the first time in ages I just push-closed it once last week and it gave me a bonnet-warning ; back to a slam
