The electronic parking brake had an attack of nerves and set off repeated alarms one morning about failure to operate, then it jammed on and wouldn't release at all until I shut everything down for a minute or so. It got carted away on a truck that day and came back fixed a few days later. No real problems since then. "Bouncing" left rear window fixed at the same time with the software upgrade.

Recently discovered that there should have been a tow hitch included with the car that wasn't, but this has now been supplied plus the carrier fitted in the rear storage compartment.

Headlight problems have been the subject of much discussion elsewhere, so won't repeat here.

The one thing that doesn't seem to get much of a mention is the audio controls on the steering wheel, particularly the way they won't select the preset stations on the radio. The manual doesn't say much about how this control is meant to operate, but the smaller "Quick Start Guide" gives a clear description of a good design if it in fact worked that way. Instead of the left and right arrow buttons on the steering wheel control having the desired (and described) effect of scrolling up and down through the preset radio stations, they just initiate a "search" function looking for the next higher or lower available broadcast frequency regardless of the presets.

To select a preset station you have to take your eyes off the road and your hand off the wheel to press numbered buttons on the central fascia - not very good. The "Mode" button on the steering wheel control has the unexpected effect of jumping up one preset station, instead of switching from radio to CD or Aux. Bizarre. Even more bizarre was LR's response to the local dealer when this was raised with them via a tech report: LR said they would re-write the Quick Start Guide to conform with the peculiar way this control currently works, rather than fixing the way it works to conform with the intended design.

Not having the top-line audio system also renders the telephone address book completely useless, as there is no way to access entries other than scrolling through them manually in alphabetical order. The Voice button on the steering wheel would provide a way of dialling common numbers, but I was eventually informed that this is just a dummy button on the SE with the standard stereo. To dial a number starting with "S" I have to stop the car, get the phone out, find and select the number on the phone and then transfer the call to the car so I can resume my journey. Again, not very good.

However, these are just minor annoyances that I wish LR would fix, but I do love driving this car regardless of a few glitches.
