    D3 S TD6 question

    Hi all,

I took a D3 S for a test drive last week..................I'm hooked, I'll never be able to look at my D1 the same again (gotta get one) the S being the low optioned model will suit me, and I hope they are as good off road as on.

One question if I may to other D3 S owners..................I've used the search feature (to no avail) I would like to know if the S has a trip computer?

    Regards Jim.

Hi Jim - I just took a look at the Redbooks guide and it doesn't mention trip computer for the S.
Car Prices - Search Car Prices & Values - Red Book

It is mentioned as standard on the SE. However, it may have been an option on the S -not sure. Or possibly included when it was optioned up with air suspension or similar.

FWIW - with the 50mm Kings springs lift, they drive really well.

    Cheers,
    Rob

If it has Air Suspension and the terrain response, then it may have. The old mans 2005 TDV6 S, with Air suspension does have the message center and it does show the l/100 etc.

Also if this is a must you can get the scangauge which would be a good alternative.

    Cheers,

If it is coil sprung, then no luck with Terrain Response. But, if like mine, it has the air suspension then the TR and trip computer goes hand in hand with that option. Quite a few S models with AS and TR made it to Australia but you have to be lucky to see one in the car yards for sale. Don't know where they all went.

I'm so happy with mine so it will not be soon up for sale any time soon; unless Gold Lotto kicks in and then a gleaming new D4 3.0 TDV6 will grace its space.

Rob is correct, TR was included if the air suspension option was chosen.

Caver that was 09MY onwards no Air Suspension. (In the "S")
05MY-08MY The "S" variant was Standard with coils & an option to have Air Suspension (which automatically includes TR & HiLine Instrumentation)

    Cheers.

    Hi all,

Thanks to all who responded. I had a yarn to a toyota driving mate of mine last night, and my buying a D3 came up. He laughed and said "I thought you would have learnt by now" I'm a long time LR driver and I have my driveway to prove it.

God help me if I ever get stuck!

    Regards Jim.
