Hi Roamer,
Your experience with the air suspension is the same as what I have. This was the same in My D3. In sand, if suspension lowers at over 50kmh, I think you have to drop below 40kmh before you can raise it again. Lived with this with the D3, looks like nothing has changed with this arrangement on the D4.

Had same problem with number plate on previous car (D2), now have slim line plate on the front with four screws, now much harder to loose it. Experience is a good teacher.
