    Howdy,

Fitted a Rapid Hitch to my D4 after finding the OEM insert to low for our semi off road van, this allowed me to lift the front of the van improving it's road manners hugely. Still use the OEM for general use.

Fitted a Redarc EBRH brake controller using the thread by Sneigy for hints to install the unit (excellent thread). My only variation was to run the cable from the controller directly into the plug rather than connecting into the pin 5 cable behind the tail lamp assembly.

    Cheers,
    Colin

    Hello Guys
My Van is 2700KGS, mainly an on road van, but I do take it down tracks to get into camping sites etc. I have heard that the OEM hitch will not suffice for towing larger vans. Is this because they are sometimes too low, not strong enough, etc etc.
    Cheers
