Asuming your talking about a discovery with a 2.7 v6 diesel if so cant get any more efficient than a straight through from turbo back ! Will allow it to spool up as quick as it can and being a turbo diesel it shouldn't be to loud
Just wondering if anyone has tried any exhaust mods on a 2.7T/D. I see a twin system from manifolds flowing into an enormous muffler exiting to a twin system. Now I appreciate my car being nice and quiet but wondering how it would sound and perform if that muffler wore out or fell off with a full twin system and a coupe of smaller mufflers. Surely turbo would spin up quicker, better economy and sweet note. Cheers Rob.

they dont get as loud as ud thing, they sound real deep to, very nice, windows up and not much diffrence,
I agree! It makes diesels sound like they should
There is plenty of room for exhaust mods. Keep in mind the oxy-cat (and DPF if fitted??? - don't think it has one?) will have to remain or you run the risk of bid fines.
The oxy-cat probably does a good job of reducing noise on its own, so whatever you do probably won't be too loud.
On some of the modern turbos there is apparently a risk that you can overspeed them, leading to premature failure.
Has anyone actally taken the standard muffler off? Cheers Rob
