Thank you for your comment, but sadly my situation is neither funny or STUPID.I think the best way to describe it is SAD

The vehicle started playing up on our Christmas Holidays. I noticed that when I tried to start it , the first press of the magic button would fail to start the car , and I would have to go though the process two or three times.

The next problem was at Canberra when we woke up in the morning (as we do) unlocked the car ,only to find a flat battery.Called Land rover assist and checked the battery(10 volts)Jumped started the car, and was told there you go Mate,( no explanation).Each night we camped I put the battery on charge,till we got home because there was no explanation for the problem.

When we got home. Saturday, I unpacked the car .Monday It was the company car again. And on Tuesday morning the car would not start.Called the boys and they could not start it.

It is very sad because the dealer has serviced the car charged the battery and claims there is nothing wrong with it.

I have suggested that they look again

There's an emergency release cable for this. There's also an emergency release tab to get the g/box out of park.
