Nice one Korgi, I have the same combo, a '98 S1 Elise and a 2010 D4, both of which I brought over from the UK when I emigrated last year. Will post some pics when I work out how to do it!

Carlschmid2002 - I'm hoping to do a trip to Tassie this year, anywhere you'd particularly recommend?

Hi everyone - long time lurker, first time poster.

We finally took the lunch and invested in our new toy - a 2010 3.0 TDV6 SE Discovery... Haven't been brave enough to go off road just yet though - awesome car

So much for a unique car combo - mine is also a 98 S1 Elise (albeit 2000 registered here). Hopefully the upgrade bug doesn't spread from the Lotus to the D4 as the Elise is very different (and quicker) now to when it left the factory.

I look forward to the photos.

Have added a picture to my earlier post. You may notice I'm not very adventurous with my colour choice!

Yes, my Elise has been "improved" with age although I've kept power fairly standard to keep my license. The Land Rover has some rock/tree sliders, compressor guard and an increasingly expensive array of "essential" accessories such as roof rails, luggage divider, fault code reader, second spare wheel etc etc.

Book your ferry early and get a bunk. Fly any family over as it is cheaper. Go to Hobart on a Sat for the markets. Binnalong Bay is special as is Strahan. Book camping grounds in busy periods. Your vehicle is subsidised by Fed Government on the ferry as is trailer. Having a trailer may make it hard to park in major towns. Food and wine are fantastic. You won't be disappointed.
