[QUOTE=BMKal;2281686]Now that's the second D4 I've seen with those wheels fitted - they look great.

I must admit the main reason I got those particular rims is because I had seen the other D4 and knew they would fit. (with minimal mods)

The 275/65 R18 is approximately 16mm larger in diameter than the 285/60 R18.
Beware of the wiring loom on the front passenger side chassis rail. You can easily damage loom when on full left lock. This is the case with both size tyres.
Move the loom up out of the way with cable ties.

    That looks the goods mate.
Good wheels, good tyres. Would probably go the 60 profile tbh.
Now for some diy black pack treatment on the badges, grille, vents, towing cover, fog lamp bezels?Show us your Disco / Sport! - PLEASE READ FIRST POST, FIRST

    thanks

^^^^ Thanks a lot guys, for the constructive criticism.
I'm always apprehensive about posting in forums, waiting for the righteous ones to get their flame on. I probably should have started a separate thread asking for opinions and advice.

I do agree though, I think I'll fit stock rims and tyres on the weekend until I can source the smaller 285/60/18. It may only be 16 mm but I think it will make a big difference.

Me too. Have exactly the same car here, & exactly the same plan with wheels and black bits long term, once beer tokens / brownie pts become available

    Which rack is that?

    Plans for sliders?

Plans for sliders'they aren't up there on the mod list. Long range tank, drawers, awning that sort of thing first. the rack is a front runner. South African part. Makes a bit of noise at highway speeds but plan on putting camping table or maybe just a piece of alli up there. The car is so quiet I notice every extra/new noise,
It sounds like a window is cracked ajar.

Yeah they look great, but there are couple of things you need to be aware of. ( having been there with oversize tyres )

Try the jack out, and see if you can get the tyre rim combo off and a new one on.

If your Disco has any reason to drop ( limp home mode or perhaps even access height ) those oversize tyres may jam in the wheel arch.

Again try it out. Better to be safe than sorry.
