For what should be a simple install was a real bitch.
Getting the bottom bolts thru far enough to get a nut started was not so easy.
I can feel your pain on this. I had a similar experience with the Front Runner ladder.
Poor fit leading to much wrangling with steel pipes to try and bend into a better alignment.

Still pretty average after all that ....

So have now put some Sikaflex into the gap, otherwise a lot of dust was getting inside the handle and inside the tailgate.

Does work well and is far easier to access roof rack than standing on lowered tailgate.

    Cheers,
    Scott

I can see where you went wrong Scott. I used much bigger lumps of pipe than that.

Strange thing is that I helped a mate fit exactly the same ladder to his D3 just recently - bloody thing was a perfect fit - bolted straight on with no "adjustment" required. Was a bit of a let-down after he had come around to my place to fit the ladder, and I had all of what I thought would be the necessary "tools" ready for the job.
    Cheers .........

Lol. Actually the pipe that goes off screen is probably 6m long. I got Jill to stand on the long one. I did actually end up bending too far and it was a real pain to get it back a bit from there.

Well I had a second one and it was just as bad as the first.
So by my calculation that's a 25% strike rate for the QA team.
...... unless the D3 is subtly different in some way to make a good fit .....

Pod Trailer – Australian Campers and Trailers

It's a Pod Trailer with Kitchen, water tank and James Baroud Tent. For trips with ferries I intend to put the James Baroud on top of the car and kitchen in the back. i am going to put a motorbike rack on the drawbar.

Rhino, I just bought a pack of these from Bunnings and cut one in half. It's working, and has stopped the constant beep from the MitchHitch

So twisting /turning the sensors in their mounting doesn't work?

    Nice one Babs.
    I found turning sensors impossible.
Easy to say, hard to do.

I couldn't even get a finger up behind the rear sensor let alone my hand.

Zero effort with the self adhesive tabs.
