I am now finally joining the D4 club. It has been a long battle with SWMBO as I was not allowed to spend the money when I had a perfectly good 2001 Nissan Patrol 3.0. Just before Christmas it went bang and after fitting another motor she warmed toward a D4. As such I did not waste time when I got the nod.
Yesterday I put down a deposit on a 2012 Fuji White D4 with reversing camera, e-diff, xenon lights and a highline sound system. It will be registered on 29 Feb (therefore the rego will only come due every 4 years) and I will take delivery a couple of days later when I get back from work.
I will be fitting a bullbar, cargo barrier, and some more outback friendly tyres ASAP before a planned trip to Kununarra in June. As I was reluctant to hand back the test drive D4, what is it going to be like with my own???

    Clancy the Drover

After much browsing and researching ( and only a cople of posts ) I thought I would post a couple of pictures of my D4, Clancy. I bought it to replace my Patrol and so far has exceeded all expectations. It goes everywhere I point it, and does everything I want it to do.

It gets used a often as I can and when it was at ARB Newcastle the other day I was thanked a number of times for having a D4 and actually using it offroad!

    minibloodhound,

Photos are fine but perhaps you could add a link to some of the videos you and your mates post.

Not only from a gaining of respect point of view but because it shows just how capable the D4 is (much better than that Black Betty ) and also because they are bloody great videos.

    Regards,

    George

    My Best Car Ever

This is my new Discovery 4 all fitted out with a day before shot. I love the extra bits and it is now a bush vehicle.
Thanks to ARB Toowoomba who have done a wonderful and very professional and quality job. Has Bar and winch, side steps, snorkel and mud flaps. I fitted the Mitchell Bros Hitch myself a couple of days ago. A great vehicle that I will have for many years ....... roll on retirement and the new caravan !!!
