Gday All,
Was lying under the rear of the D3 looking at ways to make a rear wheel carrier, and just inside the rear bar frame are 2 ( 1 either side) weight of some sort they move fore-aft abit but dont seem to be connected to anything..
What are they..does anyone know...Also whats the purpose of them?
Dont want to start designing something that may interefer with them, but would be keen to find out what they are.
Many thanks...Cheers Ean

Geez Ean, don't you know anything?...they are the Discovery Dynamic Resonance Stability Static Balancing Compensators (DDRSSBC).....
OK I just made that Up.....LOL!!!
I looked under my D4 one day after taking a hit in a wash-out, and thought I'd knocked something loose. Once I got a better look out of the mud, I realised that they are meant to be there.
There are threads as you've discovered but in short they stop the truck swaying around like a drunken sailor...
