hmmm....having been on the end of a air line failure which meant the rears dropped to what looked like the bump stops. I'd be interested as well.

Having had the car on the bumpstops a few times with my 265/70/17's, temp in the fourties and a couple of thousand ks from a dealer in the middle of nowhere shouting profanities, I will definitely be a buyer. Thanks for putting in the time to help others.

Actually, if anyone is interested in a kit, please email me so I can send out a progress email + pics and costs when the kit is ready.

Else I'll have the details up on my website in a couple of weeks.

    Cheers,

    Gordon

How much pressure is needed to inflate

    Hi Gordon
I purchased one of your Full emergency air up kits over 3 years ago and installed it hoping that I would never have to use it, but yesterday was the day! On the road from Coen to Port Stewart. After unhiching our camper trailer and then jacking up each corner one by one (having already pulled fuses and relays) I failed to inflate the bags to a useful driving height - my ARB compressor cut out at just under 90 psi.
I limped back to Coen where I am now with Internet and phone signal.
What size compressor is required to inflate each bag?
I will be trying other things to rectify my problem but clearly need to know how much umpf is required if I have a problem in the future.

    Thanks

    Warwick

    Hi Warwick,

After i installed my EAS kit, I did a test run at home to make sure it would work. I have an elcheapo Aldi compressor and as you did jacked the BODY of the car up so the wheels at each corner were "drooping", then put in the air. It pumped them all up to a little higher than "normal height" when I finished. Mind you I did not sit and pump for ages, just about 1 minute per side. It did not take very long. I guess had I been out the bush and really needed extra height I would have pumped for longer. I did this to make sure all the valves and joins did not leak.

I dont think Gordon looks at Aulro any more , had a look at my instruction that came with my kit and it says "you will need a decent compressor capable of 120PSI ,( the volume is not important , but high volume punps will be faster "

    Hope this helps .

Gordon is no longer a member of AULRO.

Contact through the GOE website has been recommended. I think there is a phone number.

    Cheers.

He is still actually a member and a Vendor here - but has not been here for some time.

As suggested his site might be the best path to get direct contact: Green Oval Experience info, tyres, off road training
