Hi Rich,
I am in the same boat with my 05 TDV6, would be interested to know what the general concensus is.
Hi Guys,
My 05 TDV6 is near the end of it's extended warranty and I want to get everything that may be suspect inspected and possibly repaired.
My D3 has done 129,000k and has been serviced by the book.
Front suspension bushes where done at 78,000k.
Auto box was flushed and new fluid at 100,000k
What to inspect?
Diffs, Wheel Bearings, Steering rack?
Thx all.

In the past I have taken cars up for warranty to RACQ and had a "master check" performed. The Master check is just a thorough inspection with a report given when finished that you can take to your dealer for anything warranty related to be fixed.
They check :
Air conditioner
Body and interior condition
Brakes with all wheels and drums removed (if possible) except dual wheels and fully floating axles
Cooling system
Electrical (includes remote/central locking but not audio, car alarms and cruise control)
Engine and visible engine components
Exhaust
Road test (minimum 8km)
Steering
Suspension
Tyres
Under body

Diff, gbox & TC oil samples analysed?
MY21.5 L405 D350 Vogue SE with 19s. Produce LLAMS for LR/RR, Jeep GC/Dodge Ram
VK2HFG and APRS W1 digi, RTK base station using LoRa
Ok, just got the call on condition on my D3.
It requires:
4 new brake discs
All new brake pads
(Paid by me)
New Rear EDiff!
(Paid by Allianz)
Have to place the claim and then find out the availability of the Diff.
Slight weep of fluid from the Steering rack but is not worth worrying about!
Hi ~Rich~,
The discs/pads sounds fair.
Do you know what is wrong with the ediff? This is the first time that I've heard of one failing (may be I've led a sheltered life).
Best Wishes,
Peter
Hi Peter,
It's got a slight whine, easiest to hear between 20 - 40 KPH.
My mechanic used some sort of noise detector to pin point the source.
They will have to order a EDiff centre from the UK, expected to land here in 3 weeks.
Hi ~Rich~,
Yes, it sounds like replacement is necessary.
I'm glad that it was found while still in warranty.
Best Wishes,
Peter
