    Performance Wheels BB-6 17 x 8 rims

Has anyone fitted these rims to a Discovery 4 2.7TD yet? If so be also interested to know what tyres they put on?

Have a look under "Show us your....... in the D3/D4 Channel. Ducksguts has a pic of his. A few others have them on. Use the search.

I am looking at going down this path as well. Truimph/Rover spares in S.A. seem to have the best price.

I hver a set on order, they seem hard to come by at the moment. I have been waiting weeks.

I have decided on the Bridgesone D694LT in 265/65x17. Ths is one tyre size up but by my understanding still legal there is also a 255/65x17 option in the tyre. I choose this option after much research. I subsrcibe to the theory that 80% of my off road adentures ae actualy on bitumen. I do not purposefully seek mud and would actualy avoid the tracks if it was really wet, strength and some grip on gravl are my priorities. Hence a strong all terrain tyre is a better fit for me. The D694s also mid way in load rating so a litte more than most at 116 and a lttle less than what I imagine would be a rougher compromise in some of the FG/Cooper options.

I will report back on this forum my exprience once I have a few km on this option.

PaulGOz, I arrived at the same conclusion after similar research and much agonising. My D694s (same size & rating as yours - $349 ea here in Perth) are being mounted on a set of OEM 17" wheels however, which I imported form the UK (about $1000 for 6 including shipping) - my existing 18"s will retain their road tryes for suburban use. The new tyres go on today and we're off on our first big trip over Easter. Let's compare notes in a few weeks! Regards, Gavin
