It should at least fit in the cubby hole on the left side.

To be honest - I don't care if it "fits" or not (I'll find a spot for it) - I just want a jack that works properly and safely.
    cheers

    True that

I used mine the other week (had never been used) and the thread stripped itself! Bought a bottle jack for the meantime but really do need a good scissor type to get high enough.

I've tried contacting Quaddro Technologies about this jack and had no response. Also been in touch with some of the South African guys through the UK site to see if they are available there and it seems they have not been commercially released yet, expected later this year.

To me the jack seems a great solution to the dodgy LR jack!

As I said above ... maybe if a few more "interested" parties contact them it may put a fire under 'em and they may up the ante on their production line - worth a go at least.

    cheers

Jack storage just behind the second row of seats.

I find that there is a pretty good sized space for long skinny stuff on the floor just behind the second row of seats.

It is the foot space for the third row of seats - amazing what one can get in there and relatively easy to get to as well. To me, one needs some sort of scissors jack, plus a bottle jack.

On the road, to change a tyre, I use the scissor jack to lift the frame somewhat to take the weight off the wheel, and then the bottle jack under the lower wheel arm to lift the rubber up as required. It works really well on the front and so-so on the rear. Using both the scissors and the bottle jacks, then neither jack has to lift too high for a tyre change.

To lift out of a hole, well that is where an air jack looks good.

Re the front wheels, there is a dimple in the underside of the lower A arm that the bottle jack piston fits right into.

O.K.guys, here's the reply I got from Colin Christie of Quadrro technologies ...

Good day to all in Australia,

Thank you for the inquiry on the Quaddro Scissor jack product.

We have been doing extensive testing/development in South Africa and the USA over the last couple of years since the first product was launched in 2007.

The current Quaddro website will also be updated with the latest new product in the near future with complete information of distribution and approved suppliers detail.

Having done these ongoing testing we made some design improvements, refer to the attached photo's, and we are also currently in the process of completing an upgraded design for Military applications.

These final improvements should be completed and signed off by end of 2011 after which full production and marketing of the Quaddro products will commence to the 4x4 off-road industry.

Keep in touch and forward your LR forum details to us so that we can follow the response from the LR off-road community.

As seen in the attached photo's the lifting/recovery of a LR vehicle is completed without any problem.

We look forward to hear back from the LR off-road community.

    Kind regards.

    Colin.

    cheers - oldsalt
