I drive a V6 diesel so do not think of myself as a "Bogan", but I do often open the window when I see a nice V8 driven by a Bogan so I can listen to the rumble.

Sometimes I wish I was a CUB (Cashed Up Bogan) especially when I hear one of those Merc C63 AMG's at full noise.

I say take one out and see how it sounds !!!.

I'd love to hear what a 4.4 litre V8 D3 with a louder exhaust sounds like at full noise... If that makes me a bogan then so be it.

My manual chipped V8 D1 fitted with extractors and a full system at full throttle gives me goosebumps.

us bogans just love the sound of a great v8 whats the point of having one if you can't hear it anyway don't want to go over the top with noise just a nice burble from it, my first d1 v8 had a drone as it went along sounded great but it annoyed after a while got under the d3 this morning geez that 2nd muffler is a big mother ugly thing wonder what it wound sound like with it removed. Any thoughts or has someone done it.

It would be hard mate because alloy V8's typically put out a lot of noise...I think you would be up for a lot of (expensive) experimentation to achieve the right balance.

Chances are few if anyone has done this yet I'd guess. Why not just go into a couple of your local exhaust shops and ask them for recommendations?

They would know what sounds good and what doesn't.
