Depending on options fitted, they can definitely be had brand new for less than $82k DA upwards, or even less than $80k as demos if in standard trim. Options are extra.
I have ordered mine new as I wanted the options & I also wanted the Corporate Servicing Plan which is not available on Demos.

Sounds like around the $90K figure is about right.
Would I buy a demo............no. Especially in the 3.0Lt, as test pilots want to see how hard they go without letting the engine warm up as you would if it was your own.
My motto as a builder is 'the job is remembered long after the price is forgotten'.
Same goes with the D4. The initial outlay of $90K is soon forgotten.
    Would I swap mine........no way.
    Cheers, Craig

I just picked up a new Disco 4 SE 3.0 (April 2011 build) for $83,600 drive away. I don't really know what is standard or optional, but it came with metallic paint, carpet mats, and xenon lights.

    That's an awesome price.
    Was it a Melbourne dealer?

    Hello all
trust we are all having or had a good fathers day if you have ankle biters.
A question i have for people is what options did you have included in you purchase or wish you had of included?
The reason i ask is we have yet to sign a contract and looking at the options list im leaning towards the upgraded headlights, the sat nag, rear camera, and maybe the rear air.
    Any other options i need?
Will sign an offer to purchase once we get rid of our 07 prado.
    Cheers

Wow! A$83600. Can anyone beat that! Happy to do a road trip from Melb back to Qld for that price!

    Steve,
If you have kids, I recommend rear a/c.

If you go offroad, rear e-diff.

Bi-xenon headlights are good - but they were better in the D3 than the D4. High beams seem to point too high and out to the outside.

    Cheers,
    Rob

So there are 2 Demos which are vitually new showing on Car Sales right now at $80k DA.
Of course they might have no extras & may be gone, but there are always more around the country.
I very nearly bought one from NSW(I'm in Vic), but a phone call to a local dealer & a discussion about what they could offer had a better outcome even if it was more $$$ up front.(Servicing included in my case).

It all comes down to what is available & what you are prepared to pay for it with the colours & options that are on it at the time.
If you need to place a fresh order then that puts the ball back in the hands of the dealer somewhat as to setting the final price.

Stock on hand has dried up quite a bit with the MY12 coming, but there are still a few MY11's arriving even now. Ask the dealerships what THEY have arriving(unsold) if you want to do a deal NOW. I don't think there will be a better time for a while once the MY12's start arriving.

For the record I have rubber mats, cargo mat, Bi-Zenons, Rear Air, Rear e-Diff, Metallic Paint & Corporate Servicing Plan for $85k DA. Had I have rung around 3 months earlier I am 100% confident that could have been better by at least $2k, but $1k may have been in costs to go interstate for the deal.

I am happy with the deal, just need the Dealer to honour it !!!

    Regards,

    Les.
