Thread: Surround Cameras not liking hot weather?

I have had an intermittent failing of some or all cameras in my 2010 D4, but it has taken a while to determine the common thread.

It seems that on very hot days they fail, but not consistently and not always all the cameras. (talking about days of 35C upwards)

As you would expect when I get to the dealer they work perfectly every time.

I'd appreciate any advice of anything similar so that I can assist the dealer with some ideas of where to look.

First thing in the checklist is to check the radius of the cable from the camera unit to the loom.
There is also a detailed check list on Topix about how to check the cables & if problems persist order overlay harness, about a 12 page doc.
