That wire tap will corrode and call all sorts of problems...
Take it off and strip back some insulation and solder the wire on then tape up or use liquid electrical tape to seal it...
All those wire tap products go bad in the long run, create high resistance joints and cause issues.

Just read and used this link to attach one of my Christmas presents to my 2007 D3. The information provided gave assistance, however found that the high beam wire on the LHS of the vehicle was blue with a grey highlight. We found this after using multimeter on all wires leading into the back off the headlight assembly, and found this to be the only one that operated as per how the high beam should. Having received LOTS of information from this forum, hope this assists others.
