HI and welcome perkj
Yeah your diagram looks good to me, better in fact for D4(LR4) as all neg wires need to go to earth stud not back to battery
Cheers Ken

						Hi All,
New member to AULRO here from the US. I recently added a Warn 9.5 XP winch to my Disco3/LR3 which also has the Traxide LR3 B dual battery kit on it. The traxide website shows the following wire diagram for how to properly wire in a marine switch for the option of powering the winch from both batteries:
Since the diagram above is a very simplistic and is representative of a generic SC80 install as opposed to the SC80-LR install that traxide recommends. I came up with my own diagram to better represent how I believe it needs to be wired up to my existing SC80-LR install. Can someone confirm that what I have come up with is indeed correct? See below:

Welcome;
If you need to source the switch if you decide to wire it that way, here is a link to the switch.

I ahevn;t got aroun to installing my SC-80 in my Defender yet, mostly due to other issues cropping up, but also due to teh fact I can;t find ANYWHERE to mount the marine switch that is out of the way but accesible when required. . It's a big switch
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

I know Tim has the switches, however, by the time he ships it to the US it will be US 75Hence the US source suggestion.
The Traxide USI-160 seems awesome.

						I went with the Blue Sea 6006 switch...only $29 USD: http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs...classNum=50547
Its rated at 300 AMPs continuous which is a better rating than the one Tim offers at 250 AMPs continuous.
The more painful cost was the 8 feet of 2AWG marine grade power cable....$40 for that plus $15 for 4 lug ends. I'll post a pic soon.
I agree the USI-160 looks nice...kinda wish I was told about it when I ordered the Traxide back in August. Oh well

						As promised...doesn't look too bad. I'm also planning to wire up an old VW door buzzer relay together with a VW Preset intermittent wiper relay to the marine switch such that when the marine switch is set to ON and the LR3's ignition is OFF, the relay will have a "buzz"...<delay>..."buzz"...<delay>...etc to remind me the switch is turned on so I don't forget to turn off. The buzzer won't buzz if the ignition is set to ON and the switch is on b/c I don't want it buzzing while winching with the engine running. I'm hoping to pick up the relays this weekend at the wrecker and get them wired up this weekend. I'll post a video of it once I complete it:
