I only have the factory tyres.....I need a second set so looking at the 265/65 18 bfgs. May end up with the slightly smaller coopers though.
My brother in law has bfg at's and they are perfectly find in soft sand....if around 15 psi for the soft stuff

OK we have decided on what are doing and have purchased a set of 17" rims, ordered the wheel nuts to suit from the US and had LT265/70/17 Kumho KL78s fitted to them.

We did look at the 265/65/18s, but $500 + each is highway robbery and if you get a flat, some how I reckon you will be waiting a looooong time for a replacement

We are just waiting on the wheel nuts now and we can fit them up.

My apologies, its taken me several days to check the Coopers for their load rating. From what I could see I think (without my classes on) they are stamped as 110's not 109's.

When I originally looked at the Coopers website to check out the specs on the new AT3's just before I bought them several months ago I am positive it said 109 not 110 as it does now.

    cheers,
    Terry

Nuts arrived from the US today, wheels will go on Friday, hopefully the new LT Kumhos will be a better tyre than the crap GG AT2s.

Do these have the same size hub hole as the disco wheel?

Yes they do, there are 3 designs from 3 models of X5 that will fit the D3/4, not sure about the RRS though, Graeme might know, there is a set of 4 from an early model in the Markets that will fit.
