G'day
First time poster and first time Landy owner... soon. Just have to wait for the missus to get back from her 2 month trip through Europe to order.
After a lot of looking we settled on the D4, Prado etc. just don't come close IMHO.
I'm a Nissan man and have a Patrol for the rough stuff, but the Disco4 is going to be the shopping trolley come long distance bus. The Patrol just isn't that comfy.
So the reason for my thread. The choice of colour has been near impossible for the two of us. Can anyone help reason with with me in any direction??
I'm going to omit white (they're everywhere and we like different) and anything darker in the range.
Maybe some pics from everyone showing what you have. I've taking a liking to Firenze Red... but I saw one in the flesh and wasn't thrilled about it.
TIA
Drew

Yeah cheers mate, trolled that one already. Some idea's, but still after some "reasoning" as to why people chose theire particular coulours.
Coming from the Nissan world where there is silver, white, gold and that's pretty much it I'm finding hard.
Damn luxury cars!!!
Hi D4REW,
I have the silver and are very happy with it, although I do like the white.
I didn't like the white in the D3's which is why I went for the silver, however, mine was one of the first D4's and since seeing more and more white ones on the road, white would probably be my choice in the D5.
One other reason for not going for the white is the fact that my 5 vehicles prior to the D4, D3, were white.
IMHO I think that white looks smarter & more prestigeous, looks cleaner than other colours, and repels the sun better.
In fact, I bought my wife a new beamer yesterday.............yes, in white.
Go the white.
Cheers, Craig
I chose Nara Bronze because the vehicle rarely gets washed and the colour hides the dirt reasonably well, and I really like the colour when clean. It wont hide pin stripes the way white does though.

Santorini black. It makes colour coding so much easier for the external accessories and cheaper.
Ok so all you are going to get here is peoples favorite but honestly they are all wrong....
There is only one choice Rimini Red it even looks great when its dirty.

I couldn't visualise the red as reasonable from the colour charts but in the flesh it does look rather good and probably my choice if I was to buy again. Brown can look a bit drab unless its clean.

I know a lot of colours look trendy and all that but "white" is my colour of choice. Go to any car yard on a fairly hot day and find two cars side by side with one of them being white. Then put your hand on both and feel the difference in temperature. You'll find the white car feels cooler. White also seems to buff out easier when removing bush pinstriping.
Our current disco is silver because we bought it 2nd hand but our Pajero is white and the daughter's Triton is white and the disco definitely gets warmer inside. While the Paj has tint the Triton doesn't and that makes another difference.
