Airbox question - Water trap
After installing my snorkel I noticed a large opening at the bottom of the airbox which looks like it is part of a one way valve to let water out of the airbox.
I think the flap closes when the car is running due to the vacuum created by the engine.
Problem is on my car its just a large hole as it looks like a the flap of rubber that makes up the valve has disappeared.
I compared my airbox to the one in Dad's RRS and you can see the missing flap.

Anyone know if I can get that as a replacement part? I can't find a part number for it.
Alternatively would I be better off by sealing the valve up?

On my D3 fitted with a Safari Snorkel by ARB, they pulgged up the hole with Sicaflex. I tested the air box by filling it up with water (intake to motor disconnected of course) to ensure there were no leaks.
The airbox gets a bit of water in it from the snorkel inlet, but it's not much and it pools in the bottom of the airbox and eventually dries out.

Thanks wyperfield.
I've had a look at another D3 with a Safari and they haven't sealed up the water trap but I think I will.
