Thread: 2nd service

Just had my D4 in for it's second service.....16000. Back tail gate lower all good....just needed a bit of lubrication.
Questioned why after first service, I now had satnav appearing on the touch screen. This confused them to no end. Anyway, they came back to me this arvo about this. The actual button next to the clock "NAV" is connected....this should not be the case if the vehicle does not have satnav. They cannot remove the satnav from the system. Southerns think that maybe they had excess satnav units, whacked it into my disco, and disabled it, but during its first service it came alive.
The system is searching for maps. Apparently I can pay 280 for these maps. They are checking with some technicians over east (maybe Sniegy?) tomorrow and if they think there is a chance, I can gamble the 280 and with some luck I will have satnav. Then maybe I can hook a reversing camera in.
They love my D4. It has all the gear, and apparently they don't see this all too often. I had to show them some pics of where I put it, and their faces became contorted....well that's why it was built!
Fingers crossed I will have the cheapest LR satnav around.

Free satnav ... lucky you ... although it'll probably be confused as to why it's woken up in W.A. - and start saying "at the earliest possible time do a U-turn and return to the U.K." hah hah hah
