There have been several D4s with air dryers overfilled with dessicant which then badly restricts air flow.

Cars done 8000k, when lowered, and push to raise up again, takes quite some time to raise again. Warning came up with raise when system is cooled.
Anyone able to help explain what is going on? Book doesn't explain any issues that might happen.

You don't indicate how long you have had the problem. I use my air suspension every day getting in and out of the garage. On one particular day it decided to misbehave with the air compressor running for more than one minute and it shut down due to overheating. I was getting reading to pull out the dessicant but decided to leave it for a day. Next day all was normal again. That was 8 months ago and no problems since. Quirky cars !!

It is possible for the reservoir valve to be not working which then requires the compressor to do all the pumping at the time yet there is no indication to the driver of a fault. Best to get the dealer to check the cause, but be aware that slow to rise will occur with multiple raise requests that occur before the reservoir can be replenished.
My D4's compressor was destroyed quite early due to an overfilled dryer that wasn't fixed/replaced soon enough.

If a one off I would not worry about it - a slow to raise message is not considered to be a fault in the system - if there is a compressor fault a fault code will be registered.
You may have just got it caught out at a time when air was low and the pump had been in use previously. I get the slow to rise message occasionally when I have been playing around with LLAMs doing some raising and dropping.
If the message continues regularly then get it looked at - if only occasionally do not worry about it.

Yes, I'd been raising and lowering it, several times to see the difference in the heights. Left it today and tried it this afternoon, was back to normal again.
No further messages either.
Thanks for the replies, learnt a little more about the car I never knew......
