			Activating voice etc?

Been trying to research this but cant quite get a clear answer I have a MY2012 SDv6 with the hi line stereo but no voice control with the phone. Was told by the stealer that it wasnt possible to activate the voice control or any other features after the car was built. But i have the hardware button on the steering wheel. So what im asking is if anybody knows if its possible to activate the voice control with a faultmate etc, and if it is possible to play video via the usb port to the screen? I dont have the hybrid screen but would it be possible unlock these options?
Would new firmware have to be flashed or is it simply 'unlocking'?
 Any help is appreciated
