    2010 3L vs 2011 2.7

    So last question
2010 3L with 70,000 With E-diff or 2011 2.7 with 30,000 same price.. We are really torn we like the newer with low Kms but the older one has the 3L. Any suggestions

2.7 has the option for decent offroad rubber in 17", 3.0 doesn't. a few 3.0 engine/ turbo issues, but not all that common. great engine though

me personally, 2.7, and chipped will be close in performance to 3.0.

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈

Id also rather go for 40.000k less, quite happy with my D3 chipped performance even when towing but have no comparison to 3l version

Go the 2.7. Less kms, another year of warranty, etc.

The 3L is really worth having over the 2.7 IMHO. The ediff is also definitely worth having. I've just spent a day doing Land Rover training out near Lithgow during which I had the chance to compare my MY12 3.0 SE with no e-diff, against a Disco3 'S' with e-diff; the difference to traction is astonishing. I don't think I saw the ediff car spin a wheel all day.

As others have said,i would go the 2.7,same reasons as said, off road rubber, more warranty left, engine has been around longer.

If you do a lot of towing & are not concerned with off road rubber, the 3l may suit.

Sorry, but the chipped 2.7.lt is still no match for the 3.0.lt.
I suggest you drive both for a length of time, in all terrain and decide for yourself.

    Cheers, Craig

Had the same dilemma on the ediff. The LR is a very capable 4wd even more so with the ediff. So question is how much 4wding are you going to do. Then is it light or serious 4wding. If it's light then the ediff (in My opinion) is not necessary.

I had the intention of medium 4wding with th LR never happened only light 4wding.

Personally I would go the newer disco with less k's, 40 k less..... And potentially still some warranty. I am getting the 3.0L however when it comes to money head has to run heart, and by buying the less k's, newer LR less things that may potentially go wrong with a lower k car.

    Purely my 2c.

    Cheers

    2.7.

I think it has enough power. Not saying the 3.0 isn't good, but my 2.7 is quick enough and I don't find myself holding up traffic.

Wow can't believe everyone is worried about 70kkm, seriously it's a diesel it's hardly run in!!! And after 70k hopefully it's been de-bugged and is well sorted by now,
The 3l is in a class of it's own, personally I would pick that!!
