Question Electronic Park Brake (EPB), minor problem any ideas?

    Hi Forumites,
Slight intermittent fault has developed...........Car running and operating fine, get out to go to the shops or something else, get back in on some occasions the EPB light flashes a couple of time and then goes out, after the computer checks have been done start the engine and the little engine warning light comes on. No loss of performance, the vehicle just runs as per normal.
I rarely use the EPB, just a habit I've developed driving autos, not very good I know.
If I do use the EPB a few times when I come back to the car after using the EPB and I've been away from the vhicle for about 20 to 30 minutes the engine light resets and then doesn't come on again for possibly three or four trips, then it goes through the same sequence again.
Is this just an adjustment thing, is there something else going on? I've had a look at a few threads can't find anything similar.
Haven't hooked the Faultmate up yet to diagnose, just wondering if anybody has had anything similar?

    Hi Graeme,
Finally finished my work commitments and got a chance to hook the Faultmate up. Brilliant tool, once I had done the update and synchronised the modules I've found that the problem is the L/H EGR valve, low voltage. Disconnected the cables, cleaned up the contacts, cleared the fault code and al appears to be fine. Replaced the stop light switch, after all I've read about this switch and the carbon build ups I decided it was best to change that anyway.
