Streo wont turn off_elec reset_Now wont work at all

    Hi there..
just wondering if anyone else has had this.
day 1: Stereo stays on after shutting down car and locking it
rang landrover, did the lock/unlock 4 times to reset electrics

Now the steroe on/off does nothing. the stereo wont runa at all

day 3: wake to find battery completely flat.
call service tech, checks the battery (its fine) does a jump start and a electric master re-set

now the thing starts fine and the stereo is working fine

The car is in the workshop today to see if they can find anything.. I'll report later if they did or didnt find anything.

I'm justwriting this in case any one has had the same experiance or may in the future.

Possibly the lock/unlock did not reset the electrics and the stereo was still drawing power. In future it might pay to hard reset the car (wait til it is asleep and then disconnect the battery and short the negative to positive lead).
That is probably what happened when the tech came out (or the battery went flat).
Just a couple of thoughts and quite possibly (even probably) wrong.
    Cheers

I had a glitch once for a couple of days where the stereo just stopped working, was too busy to book it in to the stealer and a couple of days later it started working again. That was about 18 months ago and the problem has never reappeared.

I've had a radio refuse to work and a reset using the batt cables was need. I believe I also had the radio or CD stay on once ages ago. Never did it again but I think it was about the time I had a bad battery which caused some other faults.
