I had a Tekonsha brake controller fitted to my MY12 D4 and pretty much got all the errors you speak of. The problem is with the electronics in the new Land Rovers and their self diagnostics getting extraneous feedback from the accessory device.

My problem was solved by fitting a diode in the power feed and brakellamp switch line which prevents any signals feeding back from the device.

no error codes or problems in 3 yrs
I think the expert fitters have the problem, and then blame the car

I find find it amazing that this post snuck by without anyone sticking up for the "young people" here.

Surely, any failure is the fault of the older people who are supposed to teach and supervise any trainee/apprentice.

I know a few young people in this position and, if anything, it is they who are frustrated by the lack of direction.

If you leave your very expensive vehicle with a bunch of cowboys, hoping you'll save a few bucks, you've only yourself to blame.

As for the young people only being in it for the money, how much do you think they get?

I own a 2011 SDV6HSE Discovery 4 and am wondering if anyone out there is using seat covers and if so could you please make comment on them.

I haven't bothered to research if there are any seat covers available as the way I understand things is there are air bags installed into the seats and this would inhibit the air bag operation.

I would just like to fit some type of seat cover if possible to the front 2 seats.

I have fitted sheepskin covers to my front seats and I got them from Sheepskin Tailors in Mt Gambier. I can highly recommend them and they have several colours. They are designed to suit the airbag seats and also leave the seat back pockets open as well.

The old-fashioned hooded sheep-skins (ie not fully fitted) don't interfere with the airbags. Some quite good ones available through the specialist sheep-skin shops.

Hi Glendaragh. I had air bag compliant covers made by Woolly Fleece in Townsville. They put a Land Rover insignia in them also. Quality covers but obviously not cheep. You could have a look at them if you wished as I am in Mackay also.
    Cheers
