    ARB store recommendations - Perth?

    Hi All,

    I am looking at getting a bar, snorkel and possibly a winch fitted to my D4.

    Has anyone here had a good sales/service experience with any of the Perth stores? Would like to have this stuff fitted by someone who is going to take a little care before cutting, drilling etc, parts of my car.

    Also any recommendations for a winch? Are Warn really worth the money?

    Hi Heavyduty,

    I had my roo bar and snorkel fitted to my D4 by ARB in Welshpool and I was very happy with the work. Mind you that that was some 18 months ago. At the time they took good care and spent extra time to make sure things were right. If the same folk are still there then it should be worth your while to go and check them out.

    As for the winch I cannot help as its not something I have fitted.

    I am sure there are others on this forum who can advise you on that!

    I had a very poor experience with the mob over other side of town when they fitted the same parts and more to my new one at the time.
    Don't bother explaining exactly how you want it either, in my experience I was wasting my breath.
    I would suggest you do any fridge/any wiring yourself if doing that also.
    Never again. Maybe the stars just all aligned and every step of the way I got the worst and you and others may fare better.
    Just disappointing when spending $10k or so. Will not happen again.

    ARB Mandurah - Corp store but the manager takes care of you like its his, i have had a few big build ups from him always great, makes the drive worth it and nice and close to the train line for getting home and there when leaving the car.

    I had my bullbar supplied/ fitted by ARB in Osborne Park - couple of blocks away from Barbagallos. Very happy with the service. Another advantage for me is that there's a hire car place just up around the corner from them - I needed a hire car while they had the D4.

    Suggest you have a talk with Steve at Lifestyle 4WD in Morley - he's a Landrover owner and fanatic himself, and will give you good honest advice on all accessories for your Disco, and provides the best service that I've come across in Perth. Far better to talk with someone who actually knows Landrovers well himself than just another parts & accessories salesman that you will find in most of the "aftermarket" stores.
