Thread: Diesel Injector problem

Several years ago the car had an intermittently over-fuelling injector, repairs cost Approx $600 to diagnose, $1000 in labour and $350 for LR Refurbished injector.

Last week car started acting just like the over-fuelling problem, a shudder on light throttle acceleration, did not seem to be speed dependent.

Today I put one bottle of diesel injector cleaner in before fuelling up, shudder now appears gone, just maybe I have saved $2K, at a cost of $11 of injector cleaner, time will tell.

Went for 200K run up and down highway, its still there but a lot less shudder, will be putting more injector cleaner in next time I fuel up.
