Rear Wheel Carrier for Discovery 3

I have read the FAQ, 4x4 intelligence is no longer in business.
I have found this one on eBay and would like to know if anyone has one.

    Rear wheel carrier

Can come with a Jerry (Gerry) can holder instead of the second wheel.
    Uses the existing tow hitch.

Opposite Lock also has a dual wheel carrier

I have it and I'm quite happy with it

Thanks for those replies. I have been looking at those options. I am favouring the OL single RWC. I thought this (the wheel carrier and jerry can holder) was a suitable alternative to the Kaymar.
I originally was in favour of the 4x4 Intelligence solution, but missed that opportunity.

I got a rear wheel carrier through Opposite Lock in Newcastle, who sourced it from a WA manufacturer - can't remember their name off the top of my head. I have a Disco 4, but I understand that the rear end has the same mounts etc.

Easy to use, and has a gas strut too. Very tidy, and IMHO better than the normal single wheel carrier that they have on their web site, which uses a friction mount to hold the wheel in the open position.

The single RW carrier is lighter but you miss the protection of the solid 2 RWC or the option to attach a 6 wheel or Jerry can holder.

I believe the OS carrier is Dollium brand

True, but at about half the cost. The Kaymar rear bar costs about $3k. Yes, I think the standard Opposite Lock SWC is Dollium, but mine is from someone else. If it's important to anyone then I can find out who - still travelling at the moment so just using the laptop in caravan parks right now.

I have the Dolium one looks good and doesn't need extra lights etc, only thing I don't like is that there is nothing to stop it swinging too far and hitting the lights on the car and on an angle it won't hold open by itself so you can open the rear door. But it isn't really a big deal it only bothers me ocassionally when you are on significant angles when you want to open the back.

That's why I went with the one I've got - no hassles with the opening, holding it open, slopes etc. The lights are a compliance thing to make sure it's ok with all states apparently (and you get used to them). It all comes down to preferences really

I paid under 3k for my OL rear bar incl. 2 spare wheel carriers. the Double RWC has no danger damaging your lights as it has gas struts and won't open as far to damage your lights
