Michelin Latitude Tour tyres for D4

There must be hundreds of posts in these pages re tyres. That actually just makes it harder to do the research if you want to know NOW!
Gordon at Green Oval has pointed me towards the Pirellis, I'm tempted because he hasn't given me a bum steer yet.
However as I have spare rims with BFG all terrains for any dedicated off road work, I'm really thinking about road noise, comfort and wear.
I actually quite like the OE Goodyear Wranglers but the wear is not good enough.
A friend of mine has a Michelin truck retail tyre business and wants me to look at their tyres. I rang anther friend who has a sister car to my HSE 3 litre D4 and he has the Michelin Latitude tours on now and swears by them.
That's fine but now I'm stumped between the Tour and the Tour Hp.
Anyone out there able to tell me about their own experience with these tyres and which one I should be looking at?
 Thanks in advance.
 Steve L.

			Michelin lattitudes

We went with the Michelin's. Wet trip to Adelaide and back so far, they seem fine.
Just as quiet as the OE Goodyears but hopefully, these will get a LOT more mileage to justify the horrendous expense.
Two noticeable differences, no more tram tracking but they may have been down to the fairly worn Goodyears and secondly, they are lovely to drive on dirt, very quiet and point up beautifully.
 Heres hoping!
 Regards to all
 Steve L
