    Snow chains D4 19" wheels

    Hi all,
    We're off for a week in the High Country staying in Bright. We'll be visiting the snow fields and are required to carry snow chains even if we never have to fit them. Are local (to Bright area) chains rentals likely to carry the size required for D4 19" wheels. What are my other options? Do any 'local' eg Geelong or Melbourne places have the required size?
    Your thoughts would be appreciated.

    Hi Paul

    I'm also looking at snow chains for my D4. The problem I'm facing is I have 20 inch rims and the standard diamond pattern chains wont fit between the inside edge of the tyre and the suspension components on the front.
    I've priced the spikes and spider to suit my car online with a price tag of around $600 a pair....
    You can however fit the standard diamond pattern chains to the rear.

    As for hiring chains I'm yet to find out about my options for the front....

    The best place to go on the east side of Melbourne is pirhana, they sell chains to fit 19 and 20in rims and used to hire them tto. Not sure about now though:
