The great defender vs discovery debate

This is for the people who don't get the international magazine. I found it very helpful in making my mind up even after replacing my transmission.
Testing between discovery 3 (2005-2009)and 110 defender TDCi 2401cc,(2007-2012) carried out by Land Rover International magazine

Good job you posted this thread in the D3/D4/RRS forum, the muddy boot brigade won't come in here.

And strictly speaking, the Disco can't manage a 45 degree gradient, unless your Latte cup is less than half full.

That isn't testing, that is just comparing manufacturer specs.

I love the bit about beam axles on the defender mean it will never match the D3 offroad

    haha great stuff!

D3 110 miles per hour, hmm somewhere around 170ish KPH. Pretty sure (rumors only) the D3 TDV6 will do more like 130 mph.

More car for your money, ...... hmmmm
Buy a Discovery and get a car

With the same money you can buy a 110 and a 90 and get 2 Defenders
