    iPhone for D3

    Hello all

My D3 comes with the phone cradle built into the centre arm rest under the flap. Of course it's a Nokia Type cradle but is easily unclipped. Is there an iPhone cradle available?? If there is is it compatible with the LR system? The Bluetooth system works fine for calls etc but no phone book control.

There's little support for the factory system. I'd suggest a parrot MKI9200 and a generic cradle,

If you are going for a non genuine kit, the Parrot Mimi Asteroid is better than their MKi series.

    hey there.
Id like to connect iphone direct to my disco 3 HSE in an intergrated fashon rather than the aux jack at the rear of the console. A search reveals some confusion about what to buy to make this happen.

Apparently there is a module VPLAE0001, or a later model VPLAE0002, and just to add to the confusion there is a VPLAE003 cord.

    what do I need??
    Confused

I did some research a couple of years ago on the factory phone systems and came to the conclusion that they were no only expensive but also lacked features.
Most aftermarket handsfree systems can be integrated into the LR stereo fairly easily. I have the mid range 6 cd stacker unit and it has both auxiliary and phone inputs that work well. I have a Parrot MKI 9100 in the Disco 3 and it is set up so that music streams via the aux input and the phone will ovw=erride any other audio via the phone input. As mentioned above there are also other phone kits that may suit your needs better.
If you still want to play with the factory systems then DISCO3.CO.UK - Index has some info on them
