Pit me down for one as well , looks great
I'm still ok to do the QLD batch, Rich.
And I'll most likely have one myself once I know what the final freight price will be.

Ok noted White D3.
Well I have been busy in correspondence with the supplier so here is an update:
I got a quote on the 3 shipments.
Sydney shipment would work out at $106 ea
Brisbane $128 ea
Adelaide $120 ea
The issue is the same flat shipping rate whether it be 12, 9 or 10 units.
I then asked if he could send 25 units to Sydney for the flat shipping rate, the answer was no as they would need to be on a pallet.
(25 units was the number I could order to keep under the $1000 import duty limit)
I've emailed him once again to find out how many units he could ship for the flat rate he quoted on before. We may need to stick with this number as an order and possibly another person would order another lot.
The jack and tools weigh 5kg approx each.
Cheers Rich

Thanks Rich,
Let me know when & how I can fix you up for my 2... The sooner I get rid of the stock jack the better!!!
No longer will I be forced to keep a tub of grease next to the jack so that I can repack it with grease every 5 seconds to keep it working... Even then it barely turns... Rant over
Happy to also help with logistics from Brissie!
Count me in for two jacks please. Delivered to Melbourne.
I would also be interested in purchasing the adaptor that fits the top of the jack, which engages the holes in the chassis.
Many thanks

Hi All,
I may be missing something here, but the minimum reach could be an issue in the event of a flat tyre. You cannot lock the suspension in extra height mode, therefore the access jack point is less that 150mm from ground level when you have a flat.
Given that most of these jacks have a starting reach from 210-260, I would need the original scissor jack to give me clearance in order to place a jack with a starting clearance of 260 mm.
I do agree that the OEM jack is not very stable. I am struggling with the type of jack to take to Cape York, I am leaning towards the hi-lift now that I have all my bar work fitted.
Regards
Gerald
Gerald - I helped a mate with a flat STT and ran into this situation.. the makeshift solution was to drive the wheel with the flat tyre up onto the spare to give enough clearance - then put the bottle jack under it.![]()
Hi Jonesy,
A good bush mechanic always finds a way. As with most things there are pros and cons.
I wish LR would provide a jacking option where it locks the EAS into the extended off-road position, this would make access and clearance much easier.
My previous V10 Touareg offered this jacking mode with success. Each to there own I guess.
Just wanted to make people aware another jack does not mean your crappy OEM jack issue is resolved, especially for those that are not mechanically inclined.
However, the product on offer is the best I have seen in terms of height and reach and bang for your buck.
Regards
Gerald
will the EAS self level to provide clearance?
Cheers,
Sean
