The Landy is ok had it 26 years & untill a mounth ago never had a problem , all better now. But the LEMON that was my wife's idea had it 5 years ,5 years of constant problems, which because they are intermitent & dont show up when you take to the dealer they dont beleave you when you & say no other Citroen owner has these problems. When I goon the C4 forumn the problems on the foreum unfortunately ours has all of then not just one or two. It's a catch 22 , we payed $52,000 be lucky to get $16,000. Its out of warrinty & we dont take it to the dealer & fit non genuine parts when we can & the car is getting better Lights still go out when driving at night & wipers that move up from park position whine car is in garage with nokey in it & switch off . I walked past it one day & the wipers moved up to the vertical position while I was watching it
I dad to threaten the dealer with leagle action to stop them sending me emails trying to sell me a new Citroen, Told them the only email i wanted off them was on to say they were going to fix the car or replace it.

I have a very similar story to tell with a Peugeot 308. The British and French can be pretty good on ideas and pretty poor on execution.

Me I am so burned out/fed up with whole business with our RRS the next car will be a 10 grand Prado. Something with about 140K on the clock. Boring I know but simple and cheap. After the expense of the current car plus head ache etc I am over expensive and flash, and hard to get or "unique". No more "character" for a while

You cant compare a Brit car to a French car. I wouldnt touch a home grown french car under any circumstances.

    Cheers

Yep I agree - the ride on the early ones (Goddess?) was amazing. They were really at the edge of things. Pitty it went bad.

As for the D3 having a power cut while driving, that is the stuff of VW's nightmare.!

    Cheers
