Would your MSV2 by any chance be able to code a different fob to a different car?...

    Cheers,

Sorry Ben, no, it's locked to my vin so will only work on my car. I am uncertain wether this is true for Hawkeye or the other system available from Britpart.

New key arrived in the mail just now.

Looks great, just need to get it cut then find a stealer who can code it.

**Ok might have a hold up on this, just spoke with Davis Performance and they don't think there is any way I can get the fob coded to my vehicle without ordering via the VIN from the UK for key and fob.

I might just go the option of getting the key cut and replacing the internals rather than being able to end up with a second key.

Davis Performance will do a replacement key for $330 cut and codded to the vehicle which is literally half what I was quoted from other LR Specialists and Dealers.

    What to do..?

    Maybe

I think I remember that a new key can be coded to the car via a Faultmate MSV2.

I haven't done it, but I think I read it on the Disco3 site. May be worth a search.

Looks like a Faultmate can do the trick!

I will get my new key cut and see about getting it coded via a Faultmate. Anyone have one?
