Thanks Kev and yes time has moved on a little and the kit is well proven to work on the last of the D4s. It also works on the D5 with a different wiring loom although still an outstanding task regarding the wiring before they will be generally available.

There might be a height sensor with a bad connection causing your problems.

Hi all, just wondering what the benefit is in LLAMS over just reprogramming ride heights? is it the option to adjust ride heights on the fly etc??

Basically gives you every height option upwards that the car can do at the flick of a switch verses having to get bogged before the car 'allows' extended height. It also allows you to drive at off-road height without the gong going off above 40kph and the car lowering to road height at 55kph.

You can also lower the car further than the LR selectable access height.

    Pretty useful bit of kit.

    Thanks Graeme,

Wouldn't the faulty height sensor generate faults regardless of whether the LLAMS is on or off?

    Cheers,

    Kev.

The Llams module always intercepts the height sensor signals even when off, just that no adjustments are made when off. However Llams adjustments use the auto-levelling feature so using Llams to change heights might be triggering the faults without Llams being faulty itself.

A list of fault codes and which systems fault first would help with diagnosis.

OK, thanks Graeme. I shall get the car checked out. I don't have a diagnostic tool, so I shall need to approach a professional.

    DIY Fit

Is the Llams an easy DIY fit, how long does an install usually take?

I suggest that 2 hours should be allowed for fitting even though less than 1 hour is possible. The last one that I fitted took over an hour but with lots of chit-chat.

Took me longer to figure out how to remove the steering column trim to drill a hole in it for the Llams dial than to do the whole install. There’s a hidden third screw down under the adjuster lever.
