No I got my D3 remapped, I was saying I spoilt my self by taking a D4 for a test drive, so bloody nippy and nimble, compared to the D3

Oh ok - did you consider the BAS remap which does seem to be the benchmark (best ?) for D3 maps. I have one on my RRS and I find it particularly good.

    Cheers

    Question

BAS (U.K.?) seem to have an excellent reputation, but doesn't the vehicle have to be individually tuned?
I guess what I'm trying to say is how would you get a B.A.S. tune in Australia?
    Cheers, Pickles.

Using either a Nanocom (or equivalent) or using BAS equipment you copy the standard map on your car and email it to BAS who reads it and remaps it to your requirements and then emails it back where you upload it to your car. You retain both map files and can revert to the original when any work is required on the car.

    Thanks for that.
But that still doesn't enable the tune to be "individually" tuned to your particular engine does it....or does it! It simply means that you have an "upgraded" ECU, from which the engine takes its orders?
I would've thought that the engine would need to be tuned & "adjusted" on a dyno, to get the best results?
    Cheers, Pickles.

Do you still have a copy of your original map so that the new map can be removed when your car goes in for work. If not your new map can be overwritten and you loose it.

And what if you are elsewhere and need to have work done and they reload the ECU software?? I have both my maps in the car with me and backed up on my home PC.
