Are the good year eagle 255/50/r19 up to it

I have the chance to travel to central Australia at rather short notice. Most of the trip will be on made roads. I would like to visit Palm valley travel the Mereenie loop and the east and west macs.
Would the above mentioned tyres hack the dirt roads? Has anybody taken these tyres on outback dirt tracks.
I know I will have to change them at some point but would not have time before this trip if I go.
    Cheers

Dunno about on a 4WD, but I used to have Eagles on a V8 dunnydoor wagon - they were brilliant tyres, much better than the Pirellis that were on it when I bought it.

We lived in Alice springs before Kalgoorlie - have driven to all the places you mentioned in a Commodore sedan on pretty standard tyres, so don't imagine you'll have any problems.

I do plenty of dirt road travelling in WA in the D4 still on the OEM Continental H/T's and have never had a problem so far, though will replace them with a decent A/T when they are worn out. The Newman to Nullagine road is known to be pretty hard on tyres - the Continentals have shown no signs of being the worse for wear after being up & down that road, nor the Hyden to Norseman road (though I've also done that one in the V8 dunnydoor with the Eagles with no problems).
    Cheers .........

I now run ATs but have used my goodyear wranglers off road extensively and had no issues. Make sure the spare is ready for service, buy a tyre repair kit, get a tyre pressure guage and an air compressor if possible and once on those tracks keep the pressures down and speeds down to minimise the risk. Oh if it rains avoid dirt the HTs are not much good.

    Thanks for the reply's.
They are on a RRS and look like a real road tyre.
But as mentioned the dirt roads I intend to do are pretty tame.
I will give it a go.
    Cheers
